Secure Code Warrior Marks 2018 with Record Financial Performance and Strong Global Footprint Growth

Secure Coding Company Experiences Demand Among North American and EMEA Banking, Airline, Retail, Technology and Manufacturing Companies

BOSTON & SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Secure coding company, Secure Code Warrior (SCW) today announced that the company has achieved record revenue, customer and company growth over the last year. Year over year, SCW has experienced a revenue increase of 226 percent and a customer growth rate of nearly 95 percent. Additionally, the company experienced its highest customer growth numbers from the North American market as the importance for secure software development takes center stage in the aftermath of a number of damaging high-profile breaches faulted by insecure code.

In the banking sector, the company now counts 17 out of the top 30 banks as customers in the regions it operates, including three of the of the top five North America banks and three of the top 10 largest banks in Europe. Additionally, within its core base of banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) customers, the company added customers from new verticals including Germany, Ireland, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, and United Arab Emirates. Outside of its core BFSI customer base, the company added customers or expanded into new markets including airline, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and technology industries with 30 percent of revenue deriving from its telecommunications and technology company base.

Other highlights from 2018 include:

  • Raised US$3.5 million in initial funding from strategic venture capital firms Paladin Capital Group and AirTree Ventures
  • Expanded number of employees to 70
  • Established new offices in Belgium, Boston, and London
  • Appointed tech entrepreneur and investor Eddie Sheehy to the company’s board of directors.
  • Added several key executive team appointments including:
  •  - Nick Flude - Chief Marketing Officer
  •  - Fatemah Beydoun - VP, Customer Success and Operations
  •  - Mike Tooke - Director of Finance
  •  - Chris Yeoh - Director of Customer Lifecycle
  •  - David Du Pré - Regional Director, EMEA
  • Added new programming languages to the platform including COBOL, Node.js, JavaScript, C, C++, and SWIFT
