Secure Code Warrior named as a 2020 SINET 16 Innovator Award Winner

SECURE CODE WARRIOR SELECTED AS ONE OF THE 16 MOST INNOVATIVE AND COMPELLING CYBERSECURITY COMPANIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD
SYDNEY, BOSTON, LONDON -- (Sep 11, 2020) - Secure Code Warrior, a leading innovator of developer-first secure coding solutions, was named a SINET 16 Innovator Award Winner for 2020. The SINET 16, awarded annually by the Security Innovation Network, recognizes the most innovative technologies and compelling emerging companies from among hundreds of nominees around the world. Secure Code Warrior was recognized for its online secure coding platform that helps developers to think and act with a security mindset every day.
Each year, SINET evaluates the technologies and products of hundreds of emerging cybersecurity companies from all over the world, and selects the 16 most innovative and compelling companies. These 16 companies are known as the SINET 16 Innovators, and as one of its newest members, Secure Code Warrior will showcase its secure coding platform at the virtual SINET Showcase at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The SINET Showcase attracts senior information security personnel and members of the public and private sector buyers, builders, investors and researchers to learn how technical innovations are addressing the most pressing needs in information security.
“Secure Code Warrior is honoured to be a SINET 16 Innovator. It is a recognition of how important security is as an integral part of software development. This award is continued validation of our focus on making secure developers heroes, and the critical role they play in reducing software vulnerabilities by starting left with secure coding skills and knowledge.”, said Pieter Danhieux, co-founder and CEO at Secure Code Warrior. “While 2020 hasn’t necessarily been the year everyone thought it would be, we’ve continued doubling the number of customers, opened up an office in Portland, Oregon, acquired a company in Europe and continually kept hiring great talent across the world. The demand for software developers who can ship secure code fast and with confidence continues to grow in almost every industry around the world.”
Entries were evaluated in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee of 100 cybersecurity professionals, including chief security information officers from leading organizations worldwide, experts in government intelligence and defense agencies, distinguished venture capital firms specializing in security, security entrepreneurs and security experts from academia.
When announcing this year’s award winners, SINET Chairman and Founder Robert Rodriguez said, “123 companies applied from over a dozen countries, I would say that this year’s class may be the tightest in terms of competition, amazing technology and solutions.”

This category has taken on new urgency in 2026 for a reason that’s specific to this moment: AI coding tools and agents are dramatically increasing how much code gets written and how often it needs to be deployed, tested, and provisioned for.
