Secure Code Warrior to Host The Ultimate Secure Coding Throwdown Virtual Event in Asia-Pacific

Registration Now Open for Virtual Battleground Tournament to Determine the Ultimate Secure Coding Champion in APAC

APAC – April 16, 2020 --  Secure coding company, Secure Code Warrior (SCW) today announced details for its upcoming Ultimate Secure Coding Throwdown Virtual Tournament scheduled to take place April 30, 2020, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. AEST.  Coders based in the APAC region are invited to battle against friends and colleagues to determine the Ultimate Secure Code Warrior champion.

"Right now, we are living in some crazy times and an event like this can bring together the coding community in a fun, engaging way that drives competitive spirit and remote learning,” said Matias Madou, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Secure Code Warrior.  These events have become not only a great introduction to security but also a main driver of secure coding awareness and ongoing education within the development and AppSec community.”

The tournament will feature a series of challenges that give developers the opportunity to test their secure coding skills on various programming languages and frameworks of their choosing. The format of the two-hour event includes prep and rule-setting with participants, a 90-minute tournament, and a 30-minute wrap-up and awards ceremony.  Assistance from the Secure Code Warrior team will be available throughout the event through a Zoom chat as well. All participants who earn 8,000 points, and achieve placement in the top 10 percent will receive free swag. The top prizes include a Vive Virtual Reality System, Xbox One X with Jedi Game Pack and Apple Airpods with a rechargeable case.
